Mead Technology Papers allow you to create address labels by using the templates that are part of your word processing program or by downloading Mead Templates for Microsoft Word.

Using Existing Microsoft Word Templates
There are standard templates for envelopes and address labels contained within Microsoft Word. To access these templates, open the program and pull down the "Tools" option. Select "Envelopes and Labels". A dialogue box will appear with tabs for Envelopes or Labels. Select the labels and then choose "Options" or click on the Preview graphic in the lower right corner. Either choice will provide you with a scrolling list of available templates.

Download Mead Templates for Microsoft Word
You can also download custom Mead templates for address labels. Download the following Word document which contains a Macro that will add Mead 39168 Address Labels, Mead 39170 Return Address Labels, Mead 39172 Shipping Labels, and Mead 39186 Address Labels to the template file in your Microsoft Word software. Important: To use these Macros you must first have the VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) component for Microsoft Word installed. (This component is an option during the installation of Microsoft Word.) You must also have macros enabled for the installation to work.

Users with recent versions of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Internet Explorer: Because of recent updates made by Microsoft, clicking on "download" may automatically launch Word and install the macro for you. If this happens you can disregard the following instructions, and begin using the labels.

Otherwise: To enable Macros, open Microsoft Word and go to the "Tools" menu, go to "Macro", and then "Security". Set Word's security level to Medium or Low if it is not already set. Note, if you have to change macro security, you may need to close and re-open Word for the changes to take effect. Once this is complete, simply open the file in Word and a dialog box will confirm that the labels were added to your list.

To then use these templates, pull down the "Tools" menu and choose "Envelopes and Labels". Click the "Labels" tab. You can then click on "Options" and select the appropriate Mead Label.
